Mexican Style Tacos with Grilled Beef and Dips

You just can’t prepare some meals without going all the way. This recipe will teach you how to grill a perfect beef steak and prepare two classic Mexican dips: guacamole and pico de gallo.

Before you begin, you’ll need a charcoal grill and good weather.

Serve with tacos and grilled vegetables (bell pepper, onion, shallots).

Grilled Beef

  • 1 lb chuck steak
  • 1-2 fresh limes
  • 1 light beer
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  1. Season the steak before grilling and place the seasoned side on the grill first. Three minutes should be enough, then turn to the other side and grill for another 1-2 minutes.
  2. Before flipping the steak, season with salt, pepper, and lime. Sprinkle with beer to make the meat more tender and full of flavor.

  • 3 medium avocados
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 3 tbsp white onion
  • fresh lime juice (1-2 limes)
  • salt to taste
  1. Halve the avocados and remove the pit.
  2. Roughly chop white onion and cilantro, add to the avocados along with lime juice and some salt and chop together using a large knife. The texture of the dip should remain chunky, not smooth.

Pico de Gallo dip

  • 5 medium tomatoes
  • 1 white onion
  • 2-3 chili peppers
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • juice of 1 lime
  1. Roughly chop all ingredients.
  2. Mix in a bowl and season before serving. Sprinkle lime juice on top.

Serve in tacos and enjoy warm.
